Reset Admin pass on GE Digia II ???

I have a customer with a GE Digia II DVR, and she has forgotten the password. Someone has told her that it needs to be shipped away to GE to get the password reset... is that correct? Or is there a secret way of doing it?

You should find the answer in one of these manuals... unless someone manually changed it to be different.

I appreciate your response, but seeing as how I'm capable enough to install a security system, I would like to point out that I'm certainly capable of Googling the manuals for this machine. As per my reading of the manual, and my discussion with GE, you have to send the machine back to Georgia to get them to reset it. THIS is my problem, not the fact that I don't know how to use Google to find a manual. Thanks anyways.

i figured out how to reset pass codes back to default, hold enter button on front panel and reboot the system keep holding enter untill unit has booted up and pass codes should be reset to default, default user code 1234 default admin code 4444, figured this out just by trial and error my unit is the ge digia ii 4 camera. i know this info is a bit late but hope this helps others, been trying to reset unit for months now and ge said only way isto send unit to them

It was very helpfull for me! I had the same problem. Another engineer had install a admin password. GE told me to send the recorder to them for reset all the passwords. Restart en hold the enter button untill unit has booted up works great. All the passwords are reset to default: 1234 and 4444.
