Geovision Model Differences

I have a question regarding the different 8channel GeoVision cards.

 

GV-650: 60fps

GV-800: 120fps

 

Does this mean it would be 60fps / 8 camera = 7.5fps per channel for the GV-650? Is this even fluid video? Am I interpreting this incorrectly? Also, will these GeoVision cards record all 8 channels in full D1?

You take the FPS and divide it by the number of cameras to get the FPS for each camera.

Got it. So the GV-800-8 does 120fps at CIF - 15FPS/cam, and 60FPS at D1 - 7.5FPS/cam.

 

Will the GV allow me to for example have 2 channels in D1, and the rest in CIF? How then will it allocate FPS?

You can allocate more fps or less with the software for each camera.

 

I just let it decide what it wants to do. Also, I think the fps is divided out by the cameras that are actually recording and not the ones that are idle.
