ACTi/ Arecont audio sync

Recommended Posts

I've got 2 bids both using Video Insight, all IP cameras.

The first bid will have 2x AV3155s.

I'd like to sync a single Crown PZM mic to these 2 cameras.

The second bid will be 2x ACM3401s. I'd like to sync a single Crown PZM mic to these 2 cameras.

Should be pretty easy in theory, what's the best way?

Arecont doesn't do audio.

Maybe VI has some sort of audio capture board???

If so, I wonder how bad the latency is... Is it adjustable? Obviosly the IP cams are going to be delayed quite a bit.

I'll have to call them Monday...

The price is right for what I need/ like.

I like to build my own servers from Dell and mark that up...

Can't do that with Vigil. Or even get a demo for that matter...

Havn't had time to play with Exacq...

Nuuo is an over priced Aver NVR IMHO...

LuxRiot is a joke for $1000 plus cameras...

What else is there that's in a reasonable price range?

Take the time to work with Exacq, if you can..... It's really pretty nice. It has become my first choice of NVR platform, even over Milestone, in some cases (Milestone's pricing is getting a little absurd). Milestone/ONSSI is still probably the nicest, if your customer is willing to pay for it.

The Nuuo mini would have been a neat choice but I need 25 plus channels... Not cost effective to get 2 minis.

Hi bpzle.

this camera will solve your audio problems with ip. just fitted 4 to a avermedia pro9000 video quality with the auto motorized focus keeps the quality to the best i have seen on any ip camera and the built in mic is a little powerfull but works well.

Good luck with VI Try Exacq and you will never look back.

Avigilon has very nice software also but 350 per license is steep.

will do. thanks

just had an idea....

we're also going to have several other 3401s, regardless of if we get Arecont. I wonder if I could use the audio input on a 3401....

that would get it back to the sever.... but the question is will VI let me strip if from the cam it's coming in with and use it on other feeds?
