hammouda 0 Posted March 29, 2010 Hello, I'm using AVTECH 798AD 16 channel DVR. When I'm at the CSM or IE live view, all the changes done on both software are showen on the display on VGA. Had anyone got the same problem? Any solution to correct it? Thanx for help.
scorpion 0 Posted March 29, 2010 This is how it is designed. Most small businesses will have one owner. The owner will be at the place where the DVR is located, or they are remoting in. Where there are two business owners is where trouble comes in. The question is who has priority? The reason it is set up this way is to catch an employee who remotes in to mess up the settings so the DVR does not work, and then the employee can steal, cheat, or lie, or what have you, and then reset the DVR. You can see a bad employee messing with your DVR right in front of your eyes. If you are remoting in then you will see another person who is remoting in, and messing with your DVR. Rule one. Take your DVR off of admin / admin default and create a new user / password! You will have to work around this feature the best you can.
hammouda 0 Posted March 30, 2010 Thanx for explaining. what you saied is ok for my final customer but not for my reseller. I wonder if it's a gardware configuration or a firmware one.
scorpion 0 Posted March 31, 2010 It is hardware based. Both local, and remote are going through the same chip. There are models with remote view options where they do not interfer with each other. http://211.75.84.102/kugai/demo/flash/rid.htm
hammouda 0 Posted April 1, 2010 Thanx for reply, may you tell on which model you are talking about. the flash demo that I have seen resolves my problem. Regards.
scorpion 0 Posted April 5, 2010 The flash was created for models that may have been phased out, and I have not checked which models have this option. You can check with your vendor to see which ones they carry.
hammouda 0 Posted April 6, 2010 I am waiting for an update for the firmware. It should be independant on default and protected by password to be dependant. Actually I'm supplying directly from AVTECH. Will keep you updated if problem resolved.
