DataAve 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Nice GUI. Check it out. Unit is less than $1000 end user price. http://www.dataave.com/dvr/soft.gif
rory 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Yeah, its just another version of the OEM GUI that HiSharp, Intellicam, and others use, the playback on them crashes and hangs the DVRs in my experience .. http://www.bahamassecurity.com/gallery/HiSharp.htm But thankz Ill post it on the gallery Rory
DataAve 0 Posted April 23, 2005 I have used it and never had a problem except it was poorly written. Ever hear of http://www.supercircuits.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4710 Supposed to be made by Neotec(?) but I can't find their website. It has a web based GUI built on chip. Looks good, but I'd like to see if anyone has given it a test drive.
rory 0 Posted April 23, 2005 Yeah ive seen it before, uses the same java web server as the Provideo DVR.. Ill look up the link.. meanwhile here is that first DVR you posted, again, diff manufacturer ? http://www.sampo-st.com.tw/english/product/dvr/dre-s1630.htm#
rory 0 Posted April 23, 2005 while we are on this ... check this site out, they have all the intellicam DVRs including the Nadatel, as well as another one .. These companies must all be one company just doing this for marketing .. http://www.ncctv.com/product/product_03-1.php

DataAve 0 Posted April 24, 2005 Thanks bud. See if the Sampo software works on the same unit as the HiSharp. I found a version (Eclipse) that didn't lock up.
rory 0 Posted April 24, 2005 The Eclipse ..? It is the Hisharp, it does lock up .. we have them in the field (not proud) ..
DataAve 0 Posted April 24, 2005 They seem to have rewritten the software. I just need the view feature, but I hate that software has to be installed. Sometimes (and I won't, if I can) I can't install on a client's workstaion but I can access IE.
rory 0 Posted April 24, 2005 the orbix are the ones we have in the field, i just port forwared one the other day where the client bought their own, was the same software though, think it was maybe 2 months old, I didnt sell them it, they bought their own .. for remote viewing it is fine, its the playback that has its issues, remotely. http://www.cctvco.com/dvrs.html as for IE ?? Its not browser based, just windows ..
rory 0 Posted April 24, 2005 The Powertellecom 4 channel DVR doesnt have to install any software, its selfexecutable so it just runs. No browser based in that version though ...but its very low pricewise and doesnt crash/lockup .. Rory
DataAve 0 Posted April 24, 2005 I need 8 0r 9 channel. Then I say to myself, for 200 more and I can get 16-but, I will never use 16 cams at my house.
