wirefox 0 Posted April 7, 2010 Looks quite promising and hoping to demo one in the near future. Sounds as if it would certainly be of benefit to the company. Has anyone here have had experience with it? Any feedback would be appreciated. I have basically used AXIS cameras however they do not have anything comparable to the AV8185 nor any other product with 180 which meets our specs for H264 compression and high res. hardwired 0 Posted April 7, 2010 According to the Arecont folks I talked to at the ISC show, they are due to release a D/N version of the 8185/8365 that also allows you to gimbal the cams somewhat, within a few months... But then again, they announced the 10MP cam at ISC West 2009, and had one showing at ISC west 2010, but still no announced shipping date..... So you might not want to hold your breath. Depending on the application, and the NVR software you are using, you might also want to look at Immervision lenses http://www.immervision.com/en/home/index.php they have a 360 view lens that will work on a number of megapixel cams, and with quite a few different NVR platforms. I have sold two, installed on high street. Had no complaint in years time. Even Avigilon copied Areconts camera, so, must be good
wirefox 0 Posted April 8, 2010 Thanks to all. Robert: I don't have to buy extra lenses for this camera do I? The camera runs around $1700 total? Do you know if there is a wall mount of any sort or is just a drop down?
robert 0 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) Thanks to all. Robert: I don't have to buy extra lenses for this camera do I? The camera runs around $1700 total? Do you know if there is a wall mount of any sort or is just a drop down? They come with 8mm lenses in the box. MSRP is 2990$. By default its surface mount, but you can get wall or pendant mount, also outdoor heated/blowed housing, or recessed dome ring kit. http://arecontvision.com/index.php?section=product&subsection=product_details&product_id=24 Edited April 8, 2010 by Guest
