kriton 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Was looking to install the new CAM-6100 IP p/t/z from ACTi Corp. Instead of using the software for recording, is there a good IP DVR that I could connect these cameras to? Any help would be appreciated. - Kris
scottj 0 Posted April 26, 2005 You could use a MPEG4 Transcoder (video decoder) to convert the signal back to analog video, then use whatever DVR you are comfortable with. I am not certain which IP software packages are out there that will support the ACTi products, maybe one of the other guys can help. Just an idea, not the most cost effective. scottj

scottj 0 Posted April 26, 2005 I have used Luxriot, but I cannot be certain that it will support the ACTi cameras or not...hmmm I will take a looksee
rory 0 Posted April 26, 2005 Yeah LuxRiot is the best Ive seen myself, but maybe Scott can check to see if it will work with Acti. Acti has their own software and SDK also, may want to look at that as well. Rory
