MetzLyov 0 Posted April 27, 2005 Has anyone used this hi end color camera before? Here is the specs: """NO DEALER LINK PLEASE, THAT'S WHY WE HAVE A DEALER SECTION!!""" It is their best wide dynamic range frame integration hi res color camera... Levon
MetzLyov 0 Posted April 28, 2005 I guess no takers?... Just want to get someone's opinion as it is part of large scale installation... This one I have not seen nor used... Thanks anyway... levon
rory 0 Posted April 28, 2005 Dont know. But wasnt it only them and pano that had WD initially, then everyone else started coming into the game ..? Anyway, CCTV Australia lives by them, or usded to now its bosch ... but Ganz is ganz, just hope its not another GE Ultraview type hype ..
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 29, 2005 Awesome camera for the price, well it was until the XF came about, it has a programable wide dyn range onscreen so you can set the effect, very nice, but problem is the shutter does not auto adjust and there is no two way connection without additional cabling, its not bad and it led the way for some time, but the XF is Better, Cheaper and much easier to use! cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 29, 2005 I know everyone will now think i only promote Bosch, far from it, but they are a better camera and now are cheaper,...never used to be!! Couple of things worth mentioning about the XF. 15 BITS !!!!! much more data ...therefore much more control. 1000mtrs over RG59, no need for amps anymore and it reads the impedance. Auto shutter will adjust due to lighting levels.. Alarm inputs and outputs and Motion Detection...think about it, when you do motion detection on a DVR it is TIME LAPSE motion detection...so its not very field, this is much less accurate than a real time reality of every field from a camera!! MetzLyov 0 Posted April 29, 2005 Thanks for the posts... Rory, it is not Ultraview hype.... and I know what you are referring to... I finally saw the camera and tested yesterday... No hype and this camera delivers the goods as stated in the specs.. Additional programming features on the side are very nice. The picture was crisp color. Just make sure to use lower F-stop lens, as it is very sensitive camera. Used Tokina lens (3.3-8.0mm AI) and the results were exceptional... Man, I liked it so much that I placed an order for 1,000 pieces... and of course, the pricing is much lower than what anyone will find in the market place... I know Herm does not like posting prices, so I am not going to note anything, except that they gave us a price that we could not refuse.... but then again, anyone buying 1,000 cameras will have substantial savings... Thanks much for your posts - they were helpful. Levon
rory 0 Posted April 29, 2005 (edited) I installed 4 Ultraviews and they are pieces of Crap - DONT BUY THEM!!! just realised you meant you just bought the ganz not the GE ..cool Edited April 29, 2005 by Guest
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 29, 2005 darn metz, I could have given you an awesome price for that size volume
MetzLyov 0 Posted April 30, 2005 On the same exact camera??? PM me on that and sharpen your pencil... I know that we wiped out their existing stock for the next few weeks and if this works, we are good for another 5,000 more... Based on what I saw and the pricing for it, I thought the quality of the picture to be as good and if not better than hi end Panasonic (cp-484) and substantially lower price... Rory, these are Ganz cameras and there is no way we would invest this way on existing GE cameras... By the way, they are changing their cameras across the board and we should see the newer versions available for testing in the next few weeks...
rory 0 Posted April 30, 2005 (edited) Which ones are changing, the GE or the Ganz? Also, have you tested the Sanyo Wide Dynamic Day Night yet? If so, is it any good? Darn just looked at your price . .. thats amazingly low ... Might want to move this to the dealer section at this point ..? thanks Rory Edited April 30, 2005 by Guest
FredB 0 Posted April 30, 2005 That's a great price for the Ganz. How is the camera in low light. What's that WD Bosch camera? XF something...?
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Metz, i cant see the price in this post.. if you PM me the price i will beat it for you, mind you I could probably beat it with the XF and that is a much nicer camera and those fancy settings that your doing on the side of the camera, well you wont have to the XF can be done up the coax by software..even through the internet and most of all it can be updated this way as well..making it future proff, I bet I can beat that price and with 3 yr warranty not 12 months
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 I doubt I would be allowed to sell to you there but I can get the guys form there to sharpen their pencils if you are interested or I can always get you the Ganz at a better price..sold 10's of thousands of those babies!! rory 0 Posted April 30, 2005 shipping cost from australia would be alot?
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 They would not be shipped from oz, they would be shipped direct and would also not be charged for freight
rory 0 Posted April 30, 2005 gotcha .. is ganz cheaper than sanyo?? Im actually looking for cheaper now, due to the increase in customs import taxes here now, as well as other prices going up .. but i need good.
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Ur not going to be happy with Sanyo, they are about the same price..almost all cams are now, Sanyo is considered cheap garb in this country...PS a lil hint all new stock for Bosch next week will be 550TVL and they are a much better camera than either of those two at about the same prices
rory 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Over here though, Sanyo is much cheaper than GE and Bosch, and from Levons site, seems Ganz is cheaper than Sanyo. I have used the Sanyo's before, the Day Night camera and the Day Night dome, and they worked great, they look crappy but setup and features were good. But if I can get the same from a Ganz at $100 cheaperr, than that would be worth the savings to my clients, remember we pay customs duty on evetrything here, a $200 camera is a $400 camera time as its landed, then there is markup. cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Well I think enough people have told you how good they are now!! the ganz that is, you should check ur prices again on Bosch, they have recently changed due to the new cameras that are being released the XF has come down heaps in pricing! cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Mate best price I have seen for a 10 buy on XF is $*** US, I am sure it would be different for 1000 pieces and I reckon I can kill the price for Ganz
