wahloon 0 Posted April 27, 2005 how many cameras are u running?
rory 0 Posted April 27, 2005 YEah well the system recording speed normally does not effect the network transmission speed though ofcourse the system itself can, it really depends on the DVR. Wavelet will be slow, requires 384 up at least (largest images). Mpeg4 can use much less and be much faster, quality wont be as high as 100% Wavelet though, but more suitable for remote video, I get Real time transmission with MPEG4 on 384 up and down systems. Basically What DVR and Compression are you using? How many cameras? If it is wavelet then no, stay away from DSL with Wavelet. DSL normally when they have 384 speeds, their uploads are normally much less like 128, whereas cable is the same both ways. ADSL is different and more suitable for remote video. Are you sure about that upload speed? The ISP could be pulling your leg .. do you have DSL or ADSL??

cctvfan 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Great speed & quality! Can't see any MPEG4 defects even with fast-changing contents. (In fact comparable to some good H.264 demos seen before). Yes, pricing info would be appreciated.
bwa 0 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) Cool? can you switch it to english .. What kind of internet connection do you have? Its fast .. we use actually SDSL with 2048 kbps - to provide simultaneously live viewing AND download/viewing of recorded data...Therefore if you looking JUST for live transmitting 128 kbps upload speed is enough. It is possible to activate display of FPS, data rate, total rate (means video + audio), activity level etc.: right mouse button on video area -> "Show Msn Properties" -> "Subtitle options".... bwa 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Can you start Matrix from the beginning please? please do it yourself - for an access to recorded data use:ID/password: "test"/"test" enjoy it!...... PS: end of this week this DVD demo will be switched to live TV station...
bwa 0 Posted May 9, 2005 Hey Guys, PLEASE DON'T DEACTIVATE RECORDING - the "REC" button must be red. In this case the video server will be deactivated as well! This feature is useful for download speed-up. PS: by the way - after REC deactivation in about 1 hour it will be automatically activated...]

Jasper 0 Posted January 3, 2006 (edited) Just translate the page. I am using the Maxthon browser which has translation options available under the tools menu. You can probably do the same thing in Google or may be in IE. I only use Maxthon so I am not sure. Here is a link: http://www.maxthon.com/ This browser has a lot of features that IE doesn't have, like tabbed browsing and much more. Man you guys type fast. I was responding to Rory. rory 0 Posted January 3, 2006 that is internet explorer basically, just customized ... i prefer safer surfing with FireFox ..
Jasper 0 Posted January 3, 2006 You're still not safe. You might be a little more safe. But as long as you're using Microsoft you're not safe. So why not switch to Linux while your at it. I like the tabbed browsing. I have Firefox here. I will have to fire it up and check it out.
rory 0 Posted January 3, 2006 Im safe .... the main thing is that using FireFox you are safe when surfing the web ..
Jasper 0 Posted January 3, 2006 I don't know what your definition of safety is? But believe me you are not safe if you're on a computer. And hooked up to the Internet. Besides Maxthon has a lot more features than Firefox. I would have to use all kinds of plug-ins in order to accomplish the same thing that is already built into Maxthon. Mozilla is a great organization though.
rory 0 Posted January 3, 2006 means activeX, vbscript, etc, trojans, will not install when using firefox, but when using IE they will .. hence dont surf any porn or casino sites with IE as you "will" get trojans and spyware, but it is 100% safe with firefox .. if one must use IE then should not be doing it without Spyblaster. Jasper 0 Posted January 3, 2006 You are funny. I don't surf any of those sites you mentioned. Besides when I just used Firefox it crashed. Also Firefox is using third-party headers which my firewall alerted me to. What those third-party headers are I don't have a clue. But if you want true privacy you have to use a pen and paper. rory 0 Posted January 3, 2006 im not talking about privacy, im talking about IE allowing the installation of trojans and spyware, while FireFox does not ..
Jasper 0 Posted January 3, 2006 OK sounds like you've done your research. I have other software running on my computer to prevent that from happening though. I will give Firefox another try. Just not right now as the bookmarks for Maxthon are located in a different directory. That's the one thing I don't like about Maxthon.
bwa 0 Posted January 3, 2006 im not talking about privacy, im talking about IE allowing the installation of trojans and spyware, while FireFox does not .. But IE and FireFox support in different kind cgi-scripts and applets, therefore we had to make decision - IE looks like most popular and market stable browser.Although by using FireFox you will get a picture (push JPEG service - approx. 1 frame / 2sec instead 11-20fps via IE plug-in) but not full control functionality.
