gamba47 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Hi to everyone, i´m a newbie on this themes but i will read everything on this forum. Thanks for share your knowledge I have reading a lot but i did not find a solution for this. I have to install DMMultiview on severals machines on a network (arround 10) i have downloaded DMMultiview one time from internet but when i install on one machine the "Default IP" is the localhost. Is there any way to get this default IP changed forever ? i change editing this one time, log and run dmmultiview, everything is ok, but, when i logout and shutdown the PC i go to the same point. On every run of DM i get the same default IP. This not happend when i download DM from the GV server. I hope you understand me. Best regards. gamba47
rawrmonty 0 Posted April 23, 2010 i am also having this same problem. using DMMultiView 8120. How do you change the default ip ?
rawrmonty 0 Posted April 23, 2010 Found a solution. It wont change the default ip but will add a new host. When multiview is open, click "add hosts" (3rd button from right) select New and add information, when you exit and re-enter multiview, the new host should be available to select everytime. hope this helps, it helped me. rawrmonty 0 Posted April 28, 2010 It doesnt change the default, It just adds a new host to select from. I've found the only way to change the default is to reinstall the program.

Yes, but you have to reinstall using your web server and this take a lot of time desactivating active x and others things. Best regards. gamba47

rory 0 Posted May 4, 2010 I would also suggest backing up (file, export) the Geovision registry section as it is now before you make changes, just in case.

Best regards. gamba47 yup, i am having the same issue that you are having. i can add another server and click the drop down and select the server, but i can't edit/delete the original entry. i do see an edit button, but that is a temporary edit, it doesn't save the value that i enter in after pressing edit. Hi, this is a old thread. Today Geovision is an old software and DVRs/NVRs are a better solution. They don't have Windows operating system and are more stable (without blue screen of death, memory leaks, virus and all of this MS-Windows problems). Power consupsion is lower too. Best regards. gamba47

wolf5963 0 Posted September 20, 2020 Hi, I know this is an ancient thread but wanted to provide an update for anyone who might be struggling with this issue. If you browse to C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\Low\, and search that folder for files containing your current address (the one you dont want to use!), you will find a randomly named file like 2A8QEEO8.txt. Open that file with notepad and change ALL occurrences of the IP address you dont want to use, to the new IP Address. This should permanently change the IP address and allow you to open multiview without having to edit the IP each time. Note: this worked for version 8.3.0.0 - I cant speak to other versions
