rollindeep209 0 Posted April 22, 2010 Hello and thank God there is a site like this for Stockon, CA residents. I am new to the cctv stuff but I need a system to keep up on what's going on outside. I have a few questions/opinions are always welcome as I know that their is no 1 "best" system available. 1- Looking for 16 card system with the outdoor dome camera's and probably 2 terabyte dvr. A- looking for a highly reliable system B- Camera's will be non-infared as I am going to update my outdoor lighting. C- Would like to view via the internet while at work. D- Probably 12 outdoor camera's and 2 indoor camera's. E- Are their systems that also have sound? Thanks for any/all input RD209
Soundy 1 Posted April 25, 2010 Welcome aboard! You left out one important criteria: what is your budget? My personal suggestion would be a Vigil DVR (www.3xlogic.com) with CNB cameras... possibly megapixel cameras, depending on the coverage and detail needed. That fits all your listed criteria (including audio), but you're looking at probably the $8000-$10,000 range once installation and everything is rolled in for a setup like that. rory 0 Posted July 28, 2010 Welcome to the forum. I would suggest a Geovision card, very well known, stable, and you can find support for it from this forum, a major plus right there!
