dbomb01 0 Posted May 10, 2010 Hello everyone, first post, btw great site, I have been searching and trying to find out what is a good camera for 200.00. It will for indoor, more specificaly in a bedroom. it will be above the door facing the room toward the window. I have come up with these choices. CNB VBM-24F CNB V2815NVR I do need to have some IR for the night time. I wish I could get those nice Panasonic 484s that everyone talks about, but they over 500 bucks. little out of the budge for this cam. are those two cams good or do you recommend any other. Thanks guys. Oh, I also want to support the forum and some people mention buying from people here, Im all for it if you can just shoot me a link Thanks again. rory 0 Posted May 10, 2010 Hi, pointing at the window you may want to look at WDR. Here is their Indoor WDR True Day Night (ICR) Dome: D2167NVF (V1167NVF vandal) For IR you could add it separately, as the ones with built in IR might not work too well for backlighting. Otherwise the monalisa claims superbacklighting control, which may or may not work for your application. a couple monalisas to look at: Digital Day Night: for a small area could use these: DFL-20S (budget camera), DBM-24VD If you want better IR pickup and color production, these have an ICR: DBM-24VF, VBM-24VF I havent used any but the DFL-20S so just going by specs. If you want to play it safe then I guess go for the D2167NVF or V1167NVF. http://www.cnbusa.com/en/html/product/product.php?seqx_prod=1097 Still alot cheaper then the Panasonic. Hope to get one myself soon to test.
dbomb01 0 Posted May 11, 2010 Great thanks. Looks like I will be going with the D2167NVF. I like the WDR feature and looks promising. Now just have to find a good reliable website or source to buy it from. I live in Miami and most stores are very far from me. Thanks.
rory 0 Posted May 11, 2010 I hear you, Im in the Bahamas, and cant even find anyone in Florida that sells CNB .. i shop up north and have it shipped down to Miami to a freight forwarder. Its the latin america market that messes it up for us, the distributors in florida like to bring in the cheapest things they can get out of Asia and put their name on it, so they can resell for the lowest cost to export to Latin America (which they count us as btw!). Other then that they sell some larger much more expensive name brands.
