Hi there, im thinking about purchasing the AVerMedia NV3000 lite card, could anyone tell me if the software which comes with this card allows you to mask areas of movement (trees etc) and face detection? If not what about the geovision cards? Or would I have to buy this software separately?

Hi dave. the nv3000 lite is an old card. it still does the masking you need but buy the new nv3000 and not the lite.

the new nv cards will beat GV hands down. in many ways. pm you a demo.

the Geovision GV250 does not exist anymore.

Bottom line card is now the GV600. Software is the same for all their cards.

You question should address the software though, Ive used both and I much prefer Geo even with its own flaws.
