sjoppery 0 Posted May 12, 2010 Hi, I was wondering if any C or CS mount CCTV lenses existed with optical image stabilization? I cant seem to find any. Many thanks
hardwired 0 Posted May 12, 2010 You're not likely to find anything like that, because the image stabilization systems usually rely on feedback from the camera to control them. Anything like that would likely be extremely expensive, and complicated. Having said that, there are a number of cameras (Panasonic 502/504 series, and some others) that provide electronic image stabilization by cropping off a portion of the pixels around the edges of the image, and then locking on objects in the field of view, and "sliding" the cropped area around to provide the stabilized image. Works fairly well, in most cases.
Baylab 0 Posted May 13, 2010 A company called" Tekstar" sell this stuff. should be quite expensive. Yes, the electronics stabilization should be a better solution. the pixel is much cheaper than any kind of mechanism used to move PCB board or optical element.
