internal battery to be replaced by ordinary button cell

i use AVTECH 4,8 and 16 channel.all have defective internal battery. can i use ordinary button cell as i have problems looking for the exact battery type found on the boards of these DVRs (on the country where i am now).... do i need to modify or remove somke components?

If the voltage is the same you should be good to go.

Hard to say without seeing the product. Perhaps it had a smaller amperage?

 

The charging circuit may be at fault?
