mickyallsorts 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Hi, I know some IP PTZ's have an analogue output for setting up with a handheld monitor but what cameras have fully functional IP and analogue facility? We have pelco spectra IV which does this but does not multicast and is primative network wise. I have also seen Bosch but really expensive. We are looking to change out existing PTZ analogue cameras and add an IP element for recording and control off site in an emergency. I know we can use encoders in some situations but changing cameras would be nice. Your help appreciated. Micky.
buellwinkle 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Stardot makes it's IP cameras with analogue output. I don't believe the make a PTZ camera per se, but at 5 MP, you may not need to PTZ.
misha 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Sony has such cameras but they are really expensive ~4-5K$ (but image quality is super)
mickyallsorts 0 Posted June 15, 2010 The problem with Sony and many others is that the analogue connection has no telemetary connection, it is for picture only. I am looking to get PTZ on both analogue and IP. Mick
shropna 0 Posted June 15, 2010 Sanyo HD5400 - 5600. Full HD digital "output" for recordig, and SD PAL output for traditional system and control via serial port (Sanyo SSP, Pelco D, etc. protocols). So, you can upgrade existing "analog" solution with Full HD recording resolution.
rory 0 Posted June 15, 2010 You can do all that by just using a DVR with network feature.
hardwired 0 Posted June 15, 2010 You can do all that by just using a DVR with network feature. ...But not at megapixel resolution, though. Those Sanyo's are 2 Megapixel. I'm thinking about trying them at a local hospital we service to replace some analog Pelco Spectra's, once Exacq supports them.

It handles both and IP cameras up to 20 Mpix per channel. http://www.artec.de/en/products/multieye/products/multieye-hybrid-recorder.html
mickyallsorts 0 Posted June 16, 2010 I have 2500 cameras in one location (100 acres), cannot have a DVR solution! In process of migrating hardware matrix to Genetec vms so thats why I would like the dual cameras.

I'm thinking about trying them at a local hospital we service to replace some analog Pelco Spectra's, once Exacq supports them. played with one recently to integrate into android and ipad. crystal clear video however not a big fan of their api docs or their regular manual. the most confusing i have run into yet probably. the 5600 i tested had 4 streams available. actual picture video quality was excellent though. ptz and presets were very responsive. you can see it at 5:18 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCqRn8BFriM bosch has what you are asking also as we had one inhouse to test but again it is expensive as you said. we had ptz off a joystick while doing commands remotely at the same time in our app. did a video of a 2nd one we tested here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aniczGoQ688 this one says it supports windows compatible joysticks. doesn't sound analog but would support joystick and computer ptz operations. http://www.axis.com/products/cam_295/index.htm then there's these for panasonic i-pro line which can also be controlled via pc/program. http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ModelDetail?storeId=11201&catalogId=13051&itemId=95453&surfModel=WV-CU950
