programmergeek 0 Posted June 16, 2010 I was going to get a geovision GV-1480A card but found the 1240 is about $300 cheaper which is substanical to me. Will I regret not gettingthe 1480? I am going to use this for monitoring around my house with about 10 cameras. Is the frame rate the only difference?
g00fy 0 Posted June 16, 2010 IMHO go for gv800 or spend more on mobotix ip cameras -> great motion detection.
rory 0 Posted June 16, 2010 I normally just use the GV1120, pretty much the same recording speeds anyway, since the 240 and 480 the 1240 and 1480 claim is typically in CIF mode, with a fast PC it could make a small difference though. If its a 16 camera job in a busy store i will use the 1480. Also, if you dont need real time live view and a composite out, then the GV800 would suffice also.
