CPD540 by CPCAM - e-mail and FTP notification greyed out

I have this DVR. All is well except for the e-mail and FTP notification is greyed out. Anyone out there have this system and is using these features? Just try to figure out why they are greyed out. I have the latest firmware and video viewer software.

I don't know about this machine specifically, but just some thoughts:

 

I assume the network is connected and working (you can view via the remote viewer)?

 

Is the DNS entry filled? Without a DNS (not DDNS), those functions can't lookup domain names and may be disabled.

Thanks for the reply Matt. Unfortunatly, I got some bad news todays. I finally contacted the seller and this model does not support these features ( Even thought the description on amazon said it did). He gave me the option to return this one a get the newer model that does but at a greater price ofcourse.

he have both of them on amazon for the same price $139.99 just ask him for the one with mouse KPD674 see his store on amazon he have both it is scam

its avtechs rock bottom unit .. i had one and I threw it away .. it was that bad. Then again i got it free so cant complain. yes you will pay a little more for the "slightly" better unit, i have one of those also.

Rory, since you have the one of the one's with the mouse ( Which I have now), are you able to do play back using IE8?

Rory, I gues I should search these forums before asking a question. I found my answer for the playback issue. I just had to simply run my IE8 as an administrator. For anyone else who reads this is is having the same issue, just right click the IE8 icon and pick "Run As Administrator".
