Privatteer 0 Posted July 10, 2010 http://www.veracityglobal.com/products/ethernet-over-coax/highwire-poe.aspx Used a couple of these. Simple, and gains you a POE connection for the camera. Pros: Can work out cheaper than pulling new cable, especially in difficult buildings. Can go with a cheaper non POE switch. Longer cable distance than standard Ethernet possible. Cons: Extra item to fail Need space in camera housing, or somewhere you can get to for the extra box at camera end.
