junior 0 Posted July 15, 2010 Hello All This is my first post and i hope someone can help me. I have the avtech avc760z DVR box with 4 camera's, I thought I will access the web interface to check everything is working but all the camera's showed a blue screen, i rebooted the DVR box and it made a loud pitch noise (as usual) then it went off, the HD light came and went after a minutes another loud high pitch noise appeared and went off, i noticed there are no lights on at the front and normally i see a HD light/activity. I opened the box and the HD was running as normal and there is a flashing light on the motherboard. Can anyone advise what can be the cause? Is the light flashing normal? Many Thanks. rory 0 Posted July 21, 2010 On my 4 channel Avtech there is a blinking red light on the board which seems to be normal. I would try another Hard Drive and see if that makes a difference. Or disconnect the hard drive all together. If I remember correctly some of them wont come up without a working hard drive. Also, can you access the menu at all? scorpion 0 Posted August 2, 2010 To test your DVR you will need to get another power supply for it. Do you have a friend that has a universal power supply for a laptop? You can swap tips to match your DVR power input. If the DVR works then the external power supply is the problem. If the DVR does not work then the internal power supply will need to be repaired.
