janopa11 0 Posted July 20, 2010 hi im new to the forum but i have a problem, im working with a KPD673 Avtech DVR, and im trying to setup the motion detector email alerts, i was told I could attach images (JPEG) to the email when the motion detection activates, but im only getting a trigger email which asks me to log to the DVR to download a small video. This obviously is a problem since its not really safe, in case someone stoles my DVR i would like to have at least the images stored on the email account In case anyone solved that issue and can help me, please respond. thanks in advance jano

scorpion 0 Posted July 22, 2010 The only DVR that can send a JPEG image is a JPEG DVR such as the AVC760 with the IDE hard drive. The SATA hard drive AVC760 is MPEG / MPEG and cannot send a JPEG. H.264 cannot send JPEG. There is a theory with H.264 that you can capture every 7 frame and it should have a full image within the frame. If they can create software that can catch every 7 frame and store it then it may be physically possible to send a "JPEG" image.
