nancyh1980 0 Posted August 1, 2010 Between the two low end Avermedia and Nuuo, if you have to pick one and your reputation depends on it, which would you select? The cameras are (2) Sanyo HD3500 and (2) Sanyo 4600. Avermedia EXR6004 vs Nuuo 2040. With either of these, what issues will I face? Thanks for your expertise. thewireguys 3 Posted August 1, 2010 I can't speak for avermedia but the nuuo mini is a a nice product but might not be the best chose for use with megapixel cameras because of the total bandwidth limit.

Thanks for your expertise. the avermedia EXR is a good little unit and as of 30th july it is even better with its new updates. and with you using the two top of the range sanyo cameras it will beat the Nuuo hands down. unlike the nuuo you do not need to buy a licence for your cameras. and unlike nuuo you can now run your sanyos at full res. EXR6004 support IP camera resolution up to 1600x1200(MJPEG) or 1280x1024 (MPEG4) 1. Support IP camera motion detection 2. Support motion recording 3. Support import / export function in the system setup for easy use 4. Support 3 different default playback mode for easy use

ChrisP 0 Posted August 14, 2010 I have installed the Nuuo 2040 for a client and here are my 2 cents. It has a rom based os, so it doesn't need any software updates, no anit-virus software. It has a nice intuitive user interface. Easy to use. Issue is you can only have 4 cameras max. Cant add more cameras. On the other hand, if you get a PC with a decent CPU and a graphics card and use the NUUO IP software you can add more cameras down the road.
thewireguys 3 Posted August 14, 2010 You can add more with a second NUUO Mini and use the CMS software to view both units
vito_nuuo 0 Posted August 17, 2010 You can add more with a second NUUO Mini and use the CMS software to view both units Hi Thewireguys, NUUO CMS is a powerful alarm management system, you can handle lots of events from several different local servers no matter NUUO NVRmini, NVR software, DVR system or hybrid system. Of course, you can display all the cameras at CMS Matrixes. If you just want to view several NUUO Mini, NUUO Remote Live Viewer application can do this easily. NUUO Remote Live Viewer application comes with NUUO Mini, NVR software and DVR software, it's free. It supports to display 128 cameras at most, you can display these cameras from several different local servers. I hope this helps.
