brownleaf 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Have a everfocus edvr 9 ch. Recently had a theft and made a dvd for sheriff.Went back to make one for myself and it says Process fail....open dvd device fail. ngwt82 0 Posted August 10, 2010 Dear Threadstarter, my previous experience with this DVR tells me that your DVD or thumbdrive have to be formatted to a specific format else it will not be recognize by the system. For more information, email their tech support in Taiwan and they will email you the instructions on the file format. Remember - the Taiwan one, the rest of the countries won't be bothered to reply. snate.ini 0 Posted September 9, 2010 This means that the USB device was not connected properly. Disconnect from the USB port and restart both the DVR and the device (if possible). If you are using a DVD drive, make sure that you are using formatted DVDs and that you do not insert the disc until after connecting the USB to the DVR. In the future don't buy "Never Focused" DVR's.
