rory 0 Posted August 5, 2010 A client just bought some Kingston Value Ram and its half the height of what ive used in the past. Is this normal, anyone had any issues with this before or its okay? EDIT: just found out its a low profile one, guess it still should work, no idea why they sent that one. But seems Kingston has that same product number for the regular ones and the low profile ones. thanks. Rory
Birdman Adam 0 Posted August 6, 2010 My friend's computer uses low-profile memory like that, its in his mini-computer. I guess its just used in situation where normal RAM is too big. Since the specs are the same, I guess if they are out of the normal size, they will send low-profile.
rory 0 Posted August 6, 2010 yeah im thinking now they must have sent this smaller ram as he ordered a cube case .. didnt seem to matter for the ram inside the case though but i guess they had to get rid of it on some one
