scottj 0 Posted May 14, 2005 do what rory sais, then enable Power On feature in the BIOS if power is lost and the machine will then startup again. scottj 0 Posted May 15, 2005 one of our customers had their lock box w/DVR inside stolen from the building after they grabbed a safe and POS cash drawer...The best thing is that we were using a DDNS Management service and the DVR had been online before, so about 6 days after it was stolen, we pinged the system and found that it had updated the IP address after it was stolen. We ran a tracert and determined "whois" and gave the IP address to the investigators. They contacted the ISP and got the physical address of the machine. BUSTED..Now how bad would that suck to be the guy that did that? HAHA We still laugh over that. Turns out that when the police went to his residence, he was using the safe as a computer stand for the DVR, and had it connected to the internet so he could chat......Some people... Well if he was looking for love online, he no longer needs to worry about that.
