Looking for 4-channel DVR - Avtech KPD674 or Fuho TA-462

I'm proposing to replace an old Windows 98 PC with a new dedicated DVR.

 

I'm considering the two products listed in the title, but have questions about the specifications and was wondering if anyone could help.

 

I'm most confused about the recording resolutions and framerates. The specs for each give the following at roughly equivalent resolutions:

 

TA-462:

Resolution: Recording: PAL: 640x272

Recording Frame (EACH): PAL: Max 50fps

KPD674:

Maximum Recording Rate: Field: 704×288 pixels with 50 IPS

Is the 50 fps per channel, or in total? I.e. if I have 4 cameras going at the same time, do they record 50fps or 12fps?
