programmergeek 0 Posted August 24, 2010 I have about several runs to do of cat5e for security cameras, up to about 300' catch is one will be in a pvc pipe with 6 cat5e for cameras and a couple speaker wires and a alarm wire. The underground piping is already run so I need to put it allon one pipe. What cat5e wire should I use? I am using direct burrial outdoor but do I get the gel filled and should I get the sheilded? Any cable that is installed underground should be the direct burial type with no joints. You do not have to use gel filled as there are cables specified as direct burial without. Try a RBS or PE sheathed cable. Ilkie
