DBM-24VF

I have a job that is in a low light area and a dropped celing. Basically back room of a warehouse with limited windows and the lights are not on usally. I see CNB makes a DBM-24VF camera. It is suppose to be the same as the VCM-24VF but with a smaller enclosure and a non tinted dome which is better for indoors. Has anyone used these?

 

Does it perform as well as the VCM-24vf's?

They are both exactly the same. The only difference is that the VCM-24VF has a wider shutter speed range, and has a manual shutter capability.

 

Also, the VCM-24VF is a vandal-resistant, is waterproof (suitable for outdoors), and has a bigger back-end so it can be flush-mounted nicer.

How would you flush mount it. I saw a thread on this but didn't understand.

 

I know the dome is not tinted on the DBM as well so they said it did a bit better in low light.

The VBM is a single large enclosure... the VCM is lower-profile overall, with a small (3-1/8" diameter, 2" deep) protrusion out the back for the camera internals. You use a hole saw to make a 3-1/8" or 3-1/4" hole for it to sit in.

Well .. i got the 2 housings here .. the VBM is simpler to work with IMO .. I mean its small enough to not really notice it that much more than if it were flush mounted. Just one screw to the ceiling and thats it .. while the VCM needs the base to be screwed to the ceiling/wall or flush mounted, then the camera needs to be screwed to that .. but for jobs where theres no ceiling I prefer the VCM type housing for the connections inside the base.
