tavyabe 0 Posted September 6, 2010 Hi all, I am completely new to all this and have just finished setting up a home system using the AVTECH 674 - networked. When I download video from it it comes in .avc format which I can only view with the 'video viewer' software (not even VLC player can play it!). I want to be able to view with windows media player - I have tried several codec packs and fddshow but with no success. What I would really like to do is be able to convert the downloaded .avc file into a standard mpeg or avi file. Can anyone tell me how to do this - preferably with free software. Many thanks.
