nfr 0 Posted September 6, 2010 Hi, I new to the CCTV game and looking for a budget 4 camera DVR for residential use to get started. I've been looking at the Avtech KDP674 which seems popular / widely available in the UK. I've also come across the Avermedia AverDIGI EB3004 net but availability does'nt seem so widespread. Just would be grateful of some opinions, comments, including any other DVRs that i ought to consider. Thanks Nick

RECORD RATE True global record rates of up to 100pps (PAL), 120pps (NTSC) at CIF. Assuming all camera channels are populated: • CIF available at 25pps (PAL), 30pps (NTSC) per camera • 2CIF available at 12pps (PAL), 15pps (NTSC) per camera • D1/4CIF available at 6pps (PAL), 7pps (NTSC) per camera and for that price you could get a avermedia 8 way or 2 4 ways

TV streams at like 27.8 fps. the last time I checked industry average is 3.75 per channel.
nfr 0 Posted September 13, 2010 Thanks for the info so far... some interesting comments for me feed into my decisions, but would really like some comments on the two models that I mention. The dedicated micros kit seems to be a bit more than I want to spend initially... and again doesnt seem to be that widespread in UK... unless I'm missing something.
