MarcHopgood 0 Posted September 7, 2010 Hello This is my first post here and im at a loss to solve a problem with a Techwell or sky as it may be known 6802i cctv capture card and the suplied DVR software. I have installed the card on a windows xp machine with a zmd 2000 chip and 1 gb ram, The software installs and in the settings I can add two cameras and see the screen shot from the cameras. They seem to configure fine and are connected via BNC to the PCI capture card. The problem I have is with the suplied software for viewing and recording. No matter what I do I can not get rid of the Camera Mask from the view screem, The system know they are there but it just wont show them on the main display ads they are black out with a message camera mask. I have read the usless manual and ensured that the user im logged in as (admin) has view and playback rights ticked howbvgere when I log out and in again the mask is still there. I can click photo snapshot and I get a clear image/picture from the camera so I know its working. Does anyone have any experience with the suplied software that comes on a small disk., Or can ypou recomed and dvr software that will work with the techwell / sjy 6802i cards. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to give.
UFC 0 Posted March 24, 2012 Has anyone found a solution to this? I've had the same exact problem with my 6802i for years. I figured it was because I was running a PIII, 256mb ram, and a geforce fx 5200 and it wasn't powerful enough to display the video. That obviously wasn't the problem because now I have it in a PC exceeding the recommended hardware with AMD 4000+, 1.25 gb DDR400, and geforce 6800gt and it still won't remove the "camera mask". I can see image stills from the cameras in the settings menu(so the card must be working), but they won't show on the main screen. It doesn't matter whether I'm logged in as admin or another user with viewing rights. I hope someone knows how to fix this.
Bibb Mac 0 Posted April 23, 2012 Hi we have the same problem as you now, but previously have been using the card for nearly 2 years with no problems. Our computer crashed so we put the sky 6801i card in to our spare computer loaded all the software and drivers but cannot get rid of the camera mask. Tried everything with no success. We have emailed skybest in Hong Kong but no reply from them. Please let us know if you solve the problem. Thanks
UFC 0 Posted April 24, 2012 What were your exact specs of the computer it worked on, and what are the specs of the computer it's in now?
Bibb Mac 0 Posted May 2, 2012 Hi both old and new computers have same specs except for video. Old comp hade a video card and new comp has a built in video. Do not now exact specs of old comp, cpu is the same, memory is the same, Windows XP program the same. The misses said we had a problem when we first tried to run cctv program 2 years ago (I didn’t remember) we solved the problem but cannot remember what we did to clear the screens
tomcctv 190 Posted May 2, 2012 our spare computer loaded all the software and drivers but cannot get rid of the camera mask hi what might be seen as masking might just be a region problem. your software with reloading might have gone back to factory settings so you may have to tell your card which region you are. PAL or NTSC
Bibb Mac 0 Posted May 3, 2012 Its all set to pal as befor. card is working fine in settings, all 4 cameras show up but they dont come out on the main split screen. It just says camera mask on all 4 camera screens
