Help building a controller for a sony FCB-h11 Block Camera

Recommended Posts

Can someone point me in the right direction. I have a project in which I am looking to use a Sony FCB-H11 HD bock camera. I need to build a controller that will allow me to use 3 momentary rocker switches to control the zoom, iris and focus. It must be a standalone controller that is not connected to a PC.

Here is a link to controller that is a sort of what I'm looking for:

Here is a link to the camera which uses VISCA (TTL signal level).

This is the sort of project that sounds simple, but requires a large amount of knowledge to complete.

You either need to know, or have someone available, who is competent at writing microcontroller code and integrating the VISCA control protocol into a unit with the case and switches.

There are a lot of different microcontrollers out there that could do the job, if you know how to program them. Atmel AVR, PIC, and many others could do the job.... Here's a few examples http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/categories.php?c=2
