Sparro 0 Posted September 13, 2010 Success!!! I was on a Private Dynamic IP all this time, that's why i could not connect! I had to pony up and pay Bell Mobility an extra $10.00 month for a Public Static IP. That's the only way I could get a Public IP on the HSPA network. Thanks to all for the valuable information you provided me!!! I hope this helps others in my situation.
Sparro 0 Posted September 15, 2010 DAAAMMMNNN!!!!!! *** DO NOT USE 3G HSPA SERVICE AS YOUR WEBCAM SERVICE *** After finally getting this setup and working the way it should, in two days my data usage was at 22 GB. Thats not good for HSPA because there is no unlimted data for 3G HSPA. Before I switched I had Bell Mobility look up my data on my previous DSL and they said I would stay in the range of my plan, which was 3GB - 10GB. Well, after only 2 days I'm at 22GB! Needless to say, I stopped my webcam server, i'm so lucky i logged into my account to check my usage, right now i'm into them for an extra $205 above my plan, i don't even wanna try to caluculate it if i waited for my bill one month after! Harrar 0 Posted September 16, 2010 I guess 3G suffers the same problems as satellite internet service. Poor upload speeds and very limited data transfers for their basic services.

Are you streaming your camera 24/7 or storing locally and viewing when needed? Where are you located at? If you can get Sprint 4G your data is unlimited. Sparro 0 Posted September 16, 2010 I'm located in Ontario Canada. Yes, I am streaming 24/7 and log on remotely from home to check up on my business. I'm in a rural area, there is no cable (first choice), and for DSL (second choice) I'm so far away from the central office it's as good as dial-up. I had Satellite but its useless too. The 3G HSPA service is actually quite good and workes well... but there is no unlimited data package here for the TurboHub from either Rogers, Telus or Bell and it goes through data like no tomorrow! wedyylaa 0 Posted August 1, 2012 Should I purchase the new Blackberry Tour from Bell when the new HSPA network is launching in Nov? I am looking to upgrade my phone but I am currently on contract so I will be purchasing this phone alone. Will it be worth it if the new network is coming out in November? should I wait until November to see what phones come out with this new Bell/Telus HSPA network? _________________________ yahoo keyword tool ~ overture ~ traffic estimator ~ adwords traffic estimator
