MSingewald 0 Posted September 8, 2010 We had a 16ch Freedom Systems PC based DVR for many years and the computer finally croaked. The company has long since gone out of business and we were obviously never given a copy of the software to install. We loved the interface, especially the timeline based searching. I bought an Ultimate 16ch 480 frame D1 DVR from Techpro Security Products. This unit is apparently made for several different companies and seems to be a very good quality unit. Problem is that the recordings are file based rather than timeline based. Searches are horrible and unusable after using a timeline based search. So, I am returning that and looking for a new system. My wish list is as follows: 32ch D1 recording (minimum of 12 f/s) Remote access via IE including search Remote viewing via Android Timeline display with click to search Motion detection Email alerts Ability to playback multiple cameras simultaneously synched Ability to group cameras not just in camera number order Any advice on where to start looking? There is a lot of scam stuff out there so I appreciate any solid leads. I'd rather not get stuck again with a company that goes out of business and get left high and dry. Thank you very much!
