robertin75 0 Posted September 10, 2010 Hello: A friend of mine has 4 CCTV cameras and a DVR. How can I know if I can monitor those cameras through the iphone? Normally you just enter the router's external IP address on any browser (PC) and you enter to a login page that asks for username and password. After this you can view and manipulate all the cameras. Are there any applications out there that can do this? I don't want to stream the video through remote applications like logmein and RealVNC as this is not practical. Thanks, Roberto
Kablooie 0 Posted September 11, 2010 Go to the manufacturer website, search for the model and see if it has iPhone support. If it does they should have documentation on how to access it via iPhone.

DaveChester 0 Posted September 13, 2010 More and more manufacturers are embracing the iPhone and this type of setup is becoming more and more common. Searching either google or the app store lets you find out if your particular camera is covered but there are also some generic IP CCTV applications out there which are worth a try. I still find it amazing that we can do it - even a few years ago this would have been incredibly difficult to achieve.
