avermedia 1304 SATA console playback problems

I've had this 1304 for about 8 months and had no problems with it. I decided to install the playback console on my pc and play with it. I can do a back up on a FAT32 flashdrive and I get the files with the console on the flashdrive. When I open the console from the flashdrive it opens but nothing is playing. It's just a blank screen and the "open files" button will not highlight.

I can open the downloaded console from my pc and click on the open files button and tell it to look at the flashdrive. Then a reddish screen will appear in the console with the channel squares and a small blank screen in the middle of that but again nothing plays.

 

My PC is NTfC ...is this the problem? I really don't want to format and reinstall my entire computer in FAT32.

 

I have to go out of state for work for a bit but I'll check in and try any ideas when I get home.

Well I finally hit enough buttons that I found out you have to hit the "archive" button on the right side before it will show. Guess they left that little nugget out of the instructions.
