programmergeek 0 Posted September 12, 2010 I have used the canon PTZ and loved then but the price is a little high for me on this current job. I am using a bunch of VCM-24VF and they are grate but really need at least 2 ptz in some locations. Can anyone recomend a decent one. also can I run a PTZ off of one cat 5 or do I need to pull a septate power line? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
bpzle 0 Posted September 12, 2010 pull seperate power to the ptz. what are your requirments? budget? distance? inside/ outside? exteme climate? speed dome or just a slow tour? how does the customer want to control it? lots of tools for different jobs... programmergeek 0 Posted September 13, 2010 sorry outdoor but no heater needed, it will be mounted to a building. As far as control it will go to a geovision card so that will control it. speed dome is nice but not necessory if it is alot more cash, distance is zooming in to a person at about 100' We don't need a close up of there face just to see what they are doing.
