billm 0 Posted May 18, 2005 I have a Pelco PTZ Spectra III Series DD53CBW camera and was wondering if I could operate it from my computer using an LC 485 converter and FreeviewPro S/W. The computer is remote from my DVR computer containing my I-View cards. I'm thinking the converter may have to work in conjunction with I-View, but who knows, maybe there is other S/W out there that would make this possible. Thomas 0 Posted May 24, 2005 Yep, the signal being sent is straight serial, the converter is just changing the wires. If you want to get real cheap, you can wire it directly to the serial port. Pelco's D protocol is well documented. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

qman 0 Posted May 25, 2005 Sorry for the long reply bill. Check your E-mail. Well, the I-VIEW uses the Pelco "D" protocol anyway, so it is fully compartible with pelco Domes. You only need the Netcomm Module to make it work. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
