IR Illumination

I think instead of kicking up the IR on my REGL1, I'm going to augment with an IR Illuminator.

 

Here at Microsoft, they use the Aegis IR's, but those are pretty spendy. I need to cover out about 30-40ft, but a wide area.

 

The Axis seems nice as the 50-100 adjustable seems to give me the flexibility to figure out the width of coverage I need.

 

My REGL1 covers an 18ft wide road (and yes, I know the specs), 16mm lens, but I set the focal point out farther (so smaller plate pic), but need alot of IR to cover the area evenly.

 

Any thoughts on the axis, or something similar?
