Kevin L 0 Posted October 5, 2010 Hi, all. I set up a new ACM-3401. I don't have a problem viewing the video on my local network, but cannot view remotely. It's not an access issue. I have port forwarding set properly, and can login to the camera, make setup changes, etc. The video just won't appear. I've installed the ActiveX control and tried both MPEG4 and MJPEG. Neither will appear on the laptop remotely. If I plug the same laptop into my LAN, I get a picture. It's pretty frustrating, especially since I don't have this problem with my Panasonic or IQEye IP cams. bpzle 0 Posted October 7, 2010 I have port forwarding set properly Probably not... You must forward multiple ports with ACTi. Which ones did you?
Kevin L 0 Posted October 7, 2010 Poor choice of words. I was trying to point out that I understand port forwarding. Thank you for your post. I see that there are two other ports that need forwarding. Once I did that, it works fine. The ACTi is a decent camera, but the documentation needs work. I much prefer my IQEye cameras, but the ACTi works for a garage camera. Thanks for your help!
