AVtech KPD674 start up problems

Hi all,

 

I've got a KPD674 model back from one of our customers. After we connect the model and turned the power on, do we see a red LED blinking all the time. Normally this blinks when the DVR is set on, but in this case it doesn't blink. We see continiously a red light, without any breaks.

 

- no HDD anymore in the system.

- monitor is connected a BNC output

- Hardware reset has been done without any positive result

- the power supply has been replaced several times, no solution.

 

Does anyone have a suggestion what this could indicate?

same problem with me.i send back to supplier.but the time to wait for service is to long.

if the DVR boot and stay on the H.264 logo you are in luck put the latest firmware on USB 1039 i think plug it in then short TP5/TP6 do not take off the paper clip until you see the the flash recovery screen easy fix realy nice work on all AVTECH DVR

Thanks for the replies. I've tried to complete the procedure as you describe Roula. It just didn't solve the issue. I put on the USB version 1039 as you described. Plug it into the DVR. Then make a short circuit between tp5 and tp6 and plug on the power. Then it shows reset default, complete booting process on a black window with green characters. Then I remove my paper clip and nothing happens anymore. Still the window that shows H.264.

 

The window with reset default shows already after 5 seconds. To short to update the firmware I suppose? Or did I do somethign wrong?

 

For your information, the power PCB board has been replaced already with another one, that didn't solve the issue. The power board works fine.
