Sanyo 2300 - switching automatically from day to night

Recommended Posts

I am having a problem getting the Sanyo 2300 to switch from color mode to b/w mode automatically. It is set to Auto and I have played with the luminance trigger levels. Also AGC(gaincontrol) is on and greyed out. Not sure if the two are connected but according to the manual you cannot turn off AGC if day/night mode is set to auto. Switching day/night to something other than auto does not give me control of AGC.

Any ideas? (firmware has already been updated)

Does the firmware say it is a 2300? When you turn the lights off in the room do you hear a noise come from the camera?

It's a 2300. It turns out it was switching to B/W but it was not doing anywhere near as soon as I expected. The sensitivity can be adjusted of course but I have had only had a couple of short opportunities to do so. I think with a little more experimentation I should be able to get it adjusted properly.
