shumely 0 Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) How is it possible to use a vga monitor with a dvi-i graphics card? My video card does not have a vga slot, only a dvi-i slot. But my monitor only has a vga plug! is there some sort of converter that can make my card fit? _______________________________ [mod edit: spam links removed] Edited October 22, 2010 by Guest
Soundy 1 Posted October 20, 2010 DVI spec allots some pins in the connector for analog VGA video... if your video card supports DVI-A, you just need the proper adapter. Any electronics or computer store should have them; most video cards these days come with them.
Birdman Adam 0 Posted October 20, 2010 I'm running one right now for my second monitor. Those connectors work perfectly. Only thing I don't like is they make the connector stick out another like 4", so if it got bent down, the video connector on the card would probably break.
