Interfacing telemetry with DVR

I have a Pelco D / P PTZ which the telemetry does work on as iI have tested it with a Keyboard,

 

I am trying to get it to work with the HS-DF401B DVR, http://www.tycoemea.com/English/pdf/datasht/cctv/pss180a.pdf

 

Does any one know if i need the IR Remote Control to be able to test / control the PTZ once connected to the DVR through the RS485 ? or should i be able to control the PTZ from the front end of the DVR, buttons on the front. (i do not have a remote control and have no idea where i would get one from)

Any help would be greatly appreciated again as i am completly stuck :0(

Hi, can anybody please tell me where i can get a Remote Control and Instruction Manual for a Tyco HS-DF401B. I am nearly at the end of my wits. Thank you Tom.
