aggie 0 Posted October 30, 2010 The software is probably limited to four channels... thanks very much for your reply. The software could support up to 24ch. I installed 4 cctv cameras, it worked well, then I installed 4cctv cameras and 2 usb cameras, it worked well too. But when i added another usb camera, there was no image of the third usb camera. this time, i didn't use any cctv camera, and i removed the card from my pc. I plugged in 3 usb camera, i lcould only get 2 image. i don't know why i could not get the third usb camera image. anybody have some experience? thanks
Soundy 1 Posted October 30, 2010 Perhaps the third camera needs a different driver? Does it work on its own, if you unplug the other two?
rory 0 Posted October 30, 2010 Maybe only 2 of your USB ports work? Is this a new PC or an old one? Front or rear ports? All ports enabled in the Bios? Do the cameras come up in my computer under USB cameras? Do you see any sign of them in Device Manager? The software may only be checking 2 USB ports max also. bpzle 0 Posted October 31, 2010 how about the obvious: crappy software?
rory 0 Posted October 31, 2010 Also they may have put in a limit on the number of USB drives, and it may mean paying more for additional ones. Just to verify its not the 3rd camera and driver in particular, have you swapped them around?
Soundy 1 Posted October 31, 2010 how about the obvious: crappy software? There you go, stating the obvious again... making us all look bad.
aggie 0 Posted October 31, 2010 how about the obvious: crappy software? i think this software is good at others. it works well on CCTv cameras. but olny support two usb camera. i cut a ui ,there is 4 cctv camera image and two usb camera image. that's said i can monitor 6 channels by this 4ch card. but i want to get more than 6images instead of change to a 8ch card. Securame 0 Posted November 5, 2010 Maybe your USB ports can not suply enough power for the 3 USB cameras to work at the same time.
