thewireguys 3 Posted October 31, 2010 Anyone have any links to a 12V photocell switch. I would like to power the switch with 12 or 24 volts and it must have a relay output. Thanks

Tailbone215 0 Posted November 1, 2010 What exactly are you trying to do?
thewireguys 3 Posted November 1, 2010 the customer wants to trigger recording when the light comes on. The camera has a dry contact input and I would like to power the photocell with low voltage so I don't have to use my electrician. Option B is to use a relay off the light switch. I like the idea, but keep in mind these photocells have a very large lag time of 15-45 seconds. I'm not sure this would be best if you want instantaneous ON. thewireguys 3 Posted November 1, 2010 Yea I guess they would have a swing time.... I would have to test it. I could compensate with pre event recording but I would like to trigger right way
