Securame 0 Posted November 9, 2010 Does anyone know if Hikvision DVR cards work under Win7? (32 or 64bits) They are not listed on the specs, but since they are not always up to date, and they do list Vista 32 bit...
Securame 0 Posted November 14, 2010 Ok, I will add more info to my question; we have not touched much DVR PCI cards, but the ones that we do use are quite crappy. We are looking on adding to our catalog DVR PCI cards, and since we carry Hikvision DVRs, and are very happy with them, I want to test their DVR PCI cards too. Can anyone give me some opinions on their cards, good or bad? Original cards of course, I am not interested on problems around with clone cards...
koolmer 0 Posted November 15, 2010 I have 4 cards from Hik and I love them. IVMS2000 is the original Hik Software and is good, but NetvisionDVR is better Software (google it). It is hybrid and has a very nice feature list. Quality of the recording is better than anything that I got from standalones that I tried. The latest Netvision PC DVR that I setup is running for 2 months now and never crashed, never went stuck or caused trouble in some other way. I am running it on XP though. It is supposed to run on Windows 7 64 bit also. In the manual are steps written down that tell how to get it to run on a windows 7 system with 64 bit. Securame 0 Posted November 18, 2010 I'll try to give it a try, guess I'll be geting a Hikvision card just to do some tests, and checkout the different softwares available... Thx!
Goose 0 Posted December 22, 2010 I'm also curious if you guys have had any success with Hikvision cards under Windows 7. My entire server is running with DS-4208HFVI cards and hopefully here soon our entire casino will be upgrading all it's computers to Windows 7(better late than never right?), and I'm definitely going to be snagging some licenses from our main IT guy. I know our software(Airship) works because I've tested it at home, but Hikvision doesn't really specify if the cards themselves do.

Securame 0 Posted January 14, 2011 I have had a DS-4008HSI for testing over a month now, but still no time for trying...
bye1981 0 Posted January 16, 2011 I can only confirm that it can work with Window 7 32bits. As for 64 bits, i have not tried it before.
Securame 0 Posted February 8, 2011 So I finally had some time to test the DS-4008HSI I got from Hikvision, and it worked without any problems under Win7 32 bits with the latest drivers and software from their web site: Windows Driver for DS-40xxHCI/HSI/MDI Card [2010-03-23] iVMS-2000 PC DVR/Hybrid DVR/PC NVR server software V2.02_Setup_20101014 I did try it under Win7 64 bits, and of course the driver failed to install. I pretty much doubt there is any way to wotk with Hikvision DVR cards under 64 bits (I do not know of any manufacturer that offers 64 bits support so far). Can anyone point me on the right direction for trying Netvision software? I think there is someone from Netvision on this forum. I tried NetvisionDVR web site, but it is asking me for a login, and I find nowhere to register, and I am unable to see any prices for Netvision software. Thanks! Securame 0 Posted February 8, 2011 I just saw on hikvisionusa.com that they DO have 64 bits drivers for this cards...!! Quite strange that these same drivers do not seem to be for download on their main site, hikvision.com http://www.hikvisionusa.com/downloads.html http://www.hikvisionusa.com/windows%2064bit.html Looking at the included files, there seems to be drivers for 40xx 41xx and 42xx cards. I guess I will try to check it out tomorrow at work... They also seem to have listed a newer 32 bit driver than the one on hikvision.com, dated 17/Sep/2010... Guess I will have to start checking hikvision.com from now on for Hikvision downloads

Securame 0 Posted February 9, 2011 IVMS2000, it is the only software I have so far for Hikvision cards, I still do not have NetvisionDVR, and do not know of any other softwares that work with Hikvision DVR cards... If there is any other software someone wants me to try, let me know, it would be no problem for me to do so now.

Securame 0 Posted February 9, 2011 I do not know where to get it from. Netvision web site is asking me to login, and I do not have a login... I have read here in the forum that I should contact my sales agent, but my contact in Hikvision is on holidays now due to chinese new year. http://www.netvisiondvr.com/DownloadCenter.asp Netvision software is free to use for those who have purchased a Hikvision card, or it needs to be purchased separate? Securame 0 Posted February 9, 2011 Understood, or at least I think so. It is my guess then that I do not have any license, can I still get the software anyway for trying if it works on Win7 64 bits, even if I can not record? And if I would like to get prices for NetvisionDVR, who should I contact? Thanks!

Securame 0 Posted February 12, 2011 I just did so, I already contacted with Melissa 2 months ago, but I see that the last PM I sent her on the forum is still on my outbox, so maybe she doesn't come to this forum any more. I sent her an email, thank you!
