Hikvision IVMS-4500 and Android OS remote viewing issue...

Hello All,

I have a Hikvision DVR and want to use my Motorola Android phone for remote viewing. After a few months of searching, I found a Hikvision IVMS-4500 app that works with Android.

With the WiFi feature enabled on my cell phone, I'm able to view my camera within my home's WiFi network. But I can't view my camera outside my WiFi network. My DVR is connected through my wireless router in my home.

 

Is this a port setting issue?

 

Has anybody successfully remotely monitored their Hikvision DVR with an Android app ?

I would think it is a PORT issue yes, I havent the Android APP so I can no tell you what port etc.

Hello,

The app is now available on the Android Market. Search for "Hikvision" or "IVMS-4500".

I'm thinking it's a phone setting because I've been able to view my DVR from various "Windows" computers across town for quite some time.
