password reset Panasonic WJ-HD316a

Hai,I really need a help. My harddisk in my panasonic WJ-HD316a was in trouble, so I change it. But, after I plug in it to the machine, it cann't start because it want to confirm the password. Actually I forget about the password, because I didn't use it for 2 years...

 

Please...somebody help me....

Did you search for an online user manual? Many Panasonic models are available online.

If you loose the ADMIN password for the HD300 series then you need to do a complete menu reset. This is done following the process below

 

For WJ-HD316A:

 

1.Turn off the unit

2. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 on the front.

3. Turn on the unit whilst keeping the above buttons held down.

4. Keep the buttons held down until the Panasonic screen appears (approximately 25 seconds).

5 The unit will then boot up and once fully loaded the menus (and passwords) will be reset.

 

For WJ-HD309A:

 

1. Turn off the unit

2. Press and hold buttons 1 and 5 on the front.

3. Turn on the unit whilst keeping the above buttons held down.

4. Keep the buttons held down until the Panasonic screen appears (approximately 25 seconds).

5 The unit will then boot up and once fully loaded the menus (and passwords) will be reset.
