programmergeek 0 Posted November 16, 2010 I have an install job and they want a camera in the baby's room to see them. My issue is I just don't know what to put in there I could just order a cnb with IR which would probably be fine but wanted some input. This has to have IR, be able to view most of the room maybe a 1.7 or 2.3 lens. What have people found that works? Also if the IR doesn't glow red that is a plus, so it doesn't look like a giant eyeball from hell looking down in the dark creeping out the baby.
bpzle 0 Posted November 20, 2010 this has been brought up before... honestly I wouldn't want my kid exposed to IR every night. I know working with high power IR even just temporarily makes my eyes water. I don't really think there have been any studies of long term damage, if any of low power IR but still... what's wrong with a good ol fashioned baby monitor? ipcamerastoreusa 0 Posted November 22, 2010 A suitable IP camera for your case is VIVOTEK IP7134! It is cheap, baby-friendly (wouldn't scare them to death) and is wireless!
programmergeek 0 Posted December 22, 2010 we have one but a picture is nice we really want to see if she is out of bed. But you bring up a good point about the IR.
